See you there, helping us to turn Georgia BLUE!

To the People of  the 9th Cong. Dist.

As the chair of the Ninth Congressional District for the Democratic Party of Georgia, the recent comment by Congressman Doug Collins that Democrats love terrorist was an all time low in this tit-for-tat that Republicans and Democrats are involved in.

Of course, this statement is not true.  Democrats are offended and hurt by this characterization that Representative Collins made on Fox News that went out to the nation and the world.

We are inviting Congressman Collins and all the citizens in the Ninth District to come to a Democratic Committee meeting in your county.  Visit with us and see what our values are.  They are the same as Republican values.  We value our freedoms that are guaranteed to us in the Constitution.  We are people of faith and we love our families, our country, and our community.  While we may differ on some policy issues we are all working towards the same goals.

I understand that Representative Collins has since apologized in the Gainesville Times for the statement he made.  While we accept his apology, the local newspaper does not reach as many citizens as Fox News.

It is our hope that when the citizens of the Ninth Congressional District and across this nation go to vote in 2020, that you will vote for the candidate that will promote an environment of working together and not one that continues to divide us.

June Krise, Chair
9th Congressional District
Democratic Party of Georgia
